This strip protects the top of the racket head, the part that brushes the court and the glass, and gives it a soft tint at the same time. The colour is see-through, so the racket still shows beneath it.

It measures 400 x 38 mm, is 0.8 mm thick and has rounded ends. The supplier describes it as flexible and easy to apply. Choose pink, blue or green; one strip per pack, racket not included.

The three colours are tinted but translucent: they colour the edge of the frame while letting the racket show through.

A strip shaped for the top of the head

At 400 x 38 mm with rounded ends, the strip covers the top arc of the head, the part that meets the floor on a low ball.

The rounded corners have no sharp point to catch on the court or the glass, which is where a tape usually starts to lift.

At 0.8 mm thick and described as flexible, the strip bends round the frame without fighting it.

Clean and dry the frame, centre the strip on the top of the head, then press it down from the middle outwards and fold the edges over.
