£154.99

18K carbon faces — a finer, denser carbon weave than the 3K used on many rackets, for a crisp and responsive feel on every contact.

Teardrop shape — the balance sits between head and handle: enough weight up top to attack, enough control to defend.

An all-court racket — one racket for lobs, volleys and smashes, whichever side of the court you play.

Understated navy finish — glossy navy carbon with a fine silver line, and no graphics on the face.

The problem

Your control racket lacks punch at the net, but power rackets feel unruly when you defend from the glass.

How it helps your game

The Apex sits in between. Its teardrop-shaped head places the balance midway between the top and the handle, so it carries enough momentum into a smash yet stays easy to steer on a lob or a defensive volley.

Its faces are made of 18K carbon fibre, a dense weave that gives a crisp, precise feel and lets you sense exactly where the ball meets the face. It is aimed at advanced players with a solid technique who want one racket for the whole match.

Perfect for…

You play several times a week and your strokes are consistent.

You switch between attack and defence and want one racket for both.

You want to move up to a dense carbon weave such as 18K.

You like a discreet racket without loud graphics.

Power and control in the same frame

01

Power and control in the same frame

The teardrop shape is the middle ground between a round racket and a diamond. The balance sits midway, so the racket feels quick in your hand at the net and still drives the ball on an overhead.

That versatility is why advanced players often pick a teardrop as their single, all-round racket.

18K carbon for a crisp, precise feel

02

18K carbon for a crisp, precise feel

Both faces use 18K carbon fibre, a denser weave than the 3K found on many rackets. The face feels firm and precise, and you sense clearly where the ball has been struck.

It is a racket for players who place the ball deliberately and want the face to respond exactly as they intend.

A discreet finish that stays in hand

03

A discreet finish that stays in hand

The Apex is finished in glossy navy carbon with a thin silver line along the frame. No slogans or oversized prints: the weave does the talking.

The short handle and wrist strap keep it secure through fast exchanges, and the finish looks as sharp after the match as it did before the first point.

Racket guide

Choose the right padel racket

Four things decide how a padel racket feels: the material of the face, the shape of the head, the density of the foam core and the surface finish. Here is what each one changes on court.

This racket

  • 18K carbon
  • Teardrop

Surface material

The face is a thin layer of fibreglass or carbon laid over the foam core. The "K" is the number of carbon filaments per thread, in thousands: the higher it is, the wider the weave and, in general, the stiffer and more direct the face.

  • Close-up of a Fibreglass racket face

    Fibreglass

Flexible and forgiving. The ball leaves the face easily with little effort, which suits beginners and relaxed games.

  • Close-up of a 3K carbon racket face

    3K carbon

The finest carbon weave. Light and responsive, with a good balance between feel and stiffness.

  • Close-up of a 12K carbon racket face

    12K carbon

A wider weave and a firmer face. More direct response, a little less give on soft shots.

  • This racketClose-up of a 18K carbon racket face

    18K carbon

Stiffer still. A firm, precise feel for players who already generate their own pace.

  • Close-up of a 24K carbon racket face

    24K carbon

The widest weave and the stiffest face of the range. Very precise, and the least forgiving when you miss the centre.

Racket shape

The shape decides where the sweet spot sits and how the weight is balanced. The lower the sweet spot, the easier the racket is to control; the higher it is, the more power you get on smashes.

  • Plain black padel racket with a Round head, front view

    Round

Large sweet spot low in the head and a balance close to the hand. Easy to handle and forgiving: the classic choice for control.

  • This racketPlain black padel racket with a Teardrop head, front view

    Teardrop

Sweet spot in the middle of the head and a medium balance. The all-rounder, for players who defend and attack.

  • Plain black padel racket with a Diamond head, front view

    Diamond

Sweet spot high in the head and a head-heavy balance. Built for power on smashes; it asks for good technique.

Whatever the shape, a padel racket measures up to 45.5 cm long and 26 cm wide, with a profile of 30 to 38 mm.

EVA core density

Inside every padel racket is a block of EVA foam. A softer, lower-density foam absorbs more of the impact and gives the ball an easy exit; a harder, denser foam returns more energy when you hit hard.

  • Cross-section of a racket with a Soft EVA foam core

    Soft Density 10–13

The most comfortable feel and an easy ball exit at slow and medium pace. Maximum comfort and control.

    Power
  • Cross-section of a racket with a Medium EVA foam core

    Medium Density 15–17

A balanced foam: comfortable enough for long rallies, firm enough to finish the point.

    Power
  • Cross-section of a racket with a Hard EVA foam core

    Hard Density 19–22

A dense, firm foam that rewards fast, full swings with maximum power. Less comfortable on slow balls.

Surface finish

The top coat changes how the face looks, how it ages and how much it grips the ball.

  • Close-up of a Glossy racket surface

    Glossy

A smooth, shiny clear coat that makes colours stand out and wipes clean easily.

  • Close-up of a Matte racket surface

    Matte

A satin, non-reflective coat with a premium look. It shows fewer fingerprints and small marks.

  • Close-up of a Sandy (textured) racket surface

    Sandy (textured)

A gritty, rough coat that grips the ball a little more on brushed shots, to help you add spin.

Frequently asked questions

Is it suitable for an intermediate player?
It is built for advanced players with a consistent technique. A confident intermediate player who already hits the centre of the face regularly can move up to it; newer players will find a round racket more forgiving.
What does 18K carbon mean?
The figure describes how many thousand carbon filaments are in each woven bundle. An 18K weave is denser than lower figures and gives a firmer, more precise feel on contact.
How heavy is it?
The supplier does not state the weight, so we do not quote one. As a teardrop, its balance sits between the head and the handle. If you have elbow pain, consult a professional before choosing a racket.
How should I care for it?
Wipe it with a dry cloth after each session, store it in a cover and keep it away from extreme heat, such as a car boot in summer. Avoid scraping the frame on the floor or walls.
How long will delivery take?
Every order is dispatched within 24 hours on working days. Standard Royal Mail delivery is free and takes 7–9 working days, with tracking. Need it sooner? Choose Priority delivery (5–7 working days) for £2.90 at checkout.
What if it's not right for me?
You have 30 days after delivery to return it unused and in its original packaging. A racket must not have been played on court (no marks, protective film and labels still on). Email help@padelviro.com with your order number and we'll guide you through the return. Faulty items are always covered.
